Artist Note: In this piece the lines of gold remind me of when I was a child. I would hold a kaleidoscope up to the light and gently turn the bottom edge. The turning would make a sound of falling pieces of colored glass making endless designs as the light passed through them.
The darker colors and designs are from a work that my father created. Together we collaborated in spirit. This not only keeps a wonderful memory alive, but gives me a sense of warmth and peace.
