Artist Note: This piece was inspired by my sister, a very skilled jeweler. She was a very well-known artist and her process involved the shaping of metal through hammering, pressing and rolling. This piece can be back lit when desired, giving off a luminous effect reflecting through rice paper.  So as was mentioned to me, “It looks like jewelry on a wall”. It is my own rendition of a light box piece of artwork.

Artist Note: This piece was inspired by the reflection of the morning sunlight streaming into a large picture window, creating the warmth and impression of stained glass.  Adding copper and brass details resulted in a three dimensional effect.
