Dancing Origami
I have known Yuri my whole life. A friend, a mentor, a second mother.
Yuri took an evenly cut piece of printed thin origami paper, folded it gently and precisely. Her 93-year-old hands were still as nimble as a child’s. Each fold was creased with exactness and exhibited years of practice. After a minute a beautiful bird revealed itself.
Yuri was under my care until she left this earth and left me with so many memories including my lesson in origami.
Her spirit and smile will always remain in my thoughts.
A true inspiration.
